Pedrali has given its wooden pavilion in Bergamo a second life, converting a structure originally intended for temporary use into a permanent community venue.
The space will host public events and exhibitions, while also providing a setting focused on outdoor design, according to Designboom.
The move places reuse at the centre of the project. Rather than dismantling the pavilion after its initial purpose ended, Pedrali has retained it as an active part of Bergamo's public-facing cultural and design programme.
For architects, developers and city planners, the project illustrates how temporary timber structures can be adapted for longer-term civic use when their design and location support continued public access.
