The Zaha Hadid Foundation is preparing to open a public arts venue in the former London headquarters of Zaha Hadid Architects. The site is in Clerkenwell, within a Grade II-listed Victorian school building.

The foundation describes the project as a new hub for architecture and design, bringing public activity to a property long associated with the late architect and her practice.

The conversion gives a new cultural role to an existing historic building rather than requiring a purpose-built venue. Such adaptive reuse can preserve architectural character while widening public access to spaces previously occupied by private organisations.

Details of the venue's programme and opening timetable were not included in the announcement. The plans were reported by Dezeen.
