Nearly half of enquiries received by estate and letting agencies arrive outside conventional office hours, according to analysis released by proptech firm LightWork AI.

The review covered calls, emails and property-portal enquiries received between July and September 2026. It found that 43% came in outside the 9am to 5pm Monday-to-Friday period, as reported by Property Wire.

The figure highlights the mismatch between when prospective buyers or tenants search for homes and when agency teams are typically available to respond. Enquiries made in the evening or over a weekend may require follow-up at the start of the next working day.

For agencies operating in Latvia's residential market, the research provides a useful operational benchmark rather than a local market measure. Firms assessing their customer contact process may need to consider how portal messages, calls and email enquiries are handled beyond staffed hours.
